I went to change my email address as I have switched to Verizon DSL as my service provider from AT&T DSL.

I saw the following message which was in red print when I clicked on the "Edit Email & Password" button.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PUT A WORKING, VALID EMAIL ADDRESS HERE.
AFTER YOU CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS, YOU WILL BE SENT A LINK THAT YOU MUST CLICK TO REACTIVATE YOUR PROFILE. PAY ATTENTION TO THIS OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO POST USING THAT PROFILE!:

Confirm New Email Address (Hotmail.com not allowed, Verizon will not work) - READ THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS, WE REALLY MEAN IT, PUT A WORKING EMAIL ADDRESS IN HERE OR ELSE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO USE YOUR PROFILE!!!!!:

My previous email address was a valid email address.

Noting that "Verizon will not work" I tried putting my new email address from Verizon anyway to see what would happen and got the following message

"The administrator has banned your email address. To contact the administrator click here"

Any suggestions please?

Suggestion 1: Open an account at yahoo or gmail or anywhere except hotmail.

Suggestion 2: Hassle Verizon about it. If enough people hassle them, maybe someday they'll get their bungholes in gear....

I don't understand. Hassle Verizon about what? Are they doing something that I could call them about that would fix the problem here for my email?

If you try to join with or change to a Verizon address you cannot receive and respond to the confirming email. I'm not sure exactly why, if they have an overactive spam filter or they have their thumbs up their bungholes or what -- maybe Spark could clarify that. The point is it's not something we can do anything about. Verizon sux!

Apparently, an AT&T email address gives BF problems as well. The above notices that were left in my User CP occurred while my email address was with AT&T.

To sum it up, I guess both Verizon and AT&T sux.:D
