Hi. I haven't been able to locate a source for really thick nylon, the kind I've seen used in a single layer that is used for sheaths..... and I've searched numerous forums, and commercial sites. I ordered some stuff for around $20, called ballistic nylon, but it doesn't seem thick enough.
Can anyone help?
I've seen a couple of Barry Dawson sheaths that are as thick as I want, and I've seen it elsewhere too. No, I haven't tried contacting him, but that's my next step if no one here knows.
All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Seattle Fabrics has various items . I've made sheaths of cordura nylon with a plastic liner of course ,14 oz I think.

go to your local scuba shop and check out the nylon in a weight belt. Its perfect fora nylon sheath . most dive shop also sell it by the foot as well . you may have to buy a belt ? not sure

You could also try parusing through Good Will or Salvation Army for totes/straps that might be what your looking for.
