How do you protect the blade finish from being scratched from the kydex. I line my sheaths with a fabric with a slight nap. But it is easily torn. I have sanded all the edges that can make contact as well as the whole interior. But it still scratches. I make kitchen knives typically with a mirror polish. Any thoughts?

Hey Dave, just curious about the time from order via email with you and delivery of your average order. I've purchased a sheath recently for around 200$, and I'm not sure I'm entirely satisfied with the result. The communication with the seller has been spotty. It's going to take another two months or so. In the meantime I'm looking for either a replacement or backup sheath. I'm very fond of your craftsmanship and attention to detail. I guess I'm also wondering how many specifications I'm allowed to add to my sheath and what your communication is like. As an example, if I purchased a canvas fabric over kydex, would I be able to get a leather snap strap like this picture?

I have a long answer about lining kydex sheaths and "kydex scrathces"
short answer is I do not line my kydex sheaths
If the sheath is built correctly and is kept contaminate free it will not mar the blade.

all contaminates can mar a blade.

No sir! I've seen your reputation, as far as I can tell it's immaculate and you're well loved by the blade community. I fully intend to email you -at some point- unfortunately been a bit splurgey with my money lately. Air conditioner started leaking into the house and so that's been a 650$ nightmare so far lol. All my silly questions can be addressed when I send that to ya. I'll most likely be buying a leather over kydex w/ dangler for TGULB, though.

Edit: I apologize for not clarifying well enough that it was not your sheath I was talking about!
