I need your help to identify this one, a 5lbs axe. Lots of pictures.

It may need more wire brushing or a soak in vinegar but anybody have info on this head?
So far I made out, best as I can tell. Might be wrong on some letters/numbers. On one side,

Not sure what is under that.

2nd side it might be,
COR_ AGE & SON
LRE_ON

 
Yeah it's definitely a UK axe. Afraid I can't help with the ID beyond that.
 
Interesting. Couple of things I noticed looking it over more closely is that the eye seems deform, blade does not seem in line with the center of the eye and it appears metal was welded to the poll, (Not sure if that is original).
 
There are plenty of great British axes, brades, ellwell, and even Sheffield made them. I'd restore it!
 
Oh hush now, I've only had my first mug of coffee. I meant to say that there are various makers IN Sheffield that were making axes of this pattern.
