Alright... So I am gonna pick up a Bk11 soon to go with my bk2, but I also need another folder. I have carried my Rat 1 for a longgg time, and I think it needs to be retired:D I want a higher end folder, but my absolute limit is $100 My dream folder is a benchmade adamas.. But I dont want to spend that much, maybe someday. I am looking for a large folder with a spear or drop point, and g10 handles, maybeee somethin else:p I am currently looking at the kershaw Rake, and the kershaw knockout. what do you guys carry? Or anything I am missing?

I love my Rake.
it's fairly big and bulky, but comfortable.

I've been really enjoying my BM 943. I carry my 11 or 24 and my 943 everyday.

I carry a Kershaw Skyline - nice and thin for the pocket with a high quality blade that's big and strong enough for most edc chores. Plus, for a Benjamin you could buy 2.

BM mini grip if its a folder which is rare, BK11 and the TTi - $100 get yourself a Leatherman Charge TTI with S30v on the blade.

I carry a Zero Tolerance 0350. Love it. Other knives to look at (even though not all spear or drop point) are the Spyderco manix 2, Spyderco paramilitary 2, benchmade griptilians, (mini and full sized) Emerson horseman although it may be a few $ above your limit not sure.

A couple that I have really liked carrying lately are the BM Rift and Buck Vantage Pro. I seriously carried the Vantage Pro for a month before it lost its laser sharp edge. The Bos heat treat on Buck's s30v is phenomenal.

I have been carrying my Kershaw Knockout,
mrn8 is right the Buck Vantage Pro is great.

I have to say.. go with the Rake.. I have a ZT0350, and a buddy of mine at work bought the Rake... I offered him a trade of my 350 for his Rake on the spot (he didn't accept).. My folder needs are pretty much satisfied, but I'm still gonna buy a Rake. It feels great and the D2 edge on it is ridiculous.

I am a fan of the ZT0350. I got it from Kershaw Guy as a blem for $85 and it was worth it. I also have a Kershaw JYD which I have had a long while now that I got from Vance who actually brought me to Bladrforums.

You might want to check out the Rat 2 if you're looking to upgrade your rat1.

Cant go wrong with a full size BM Grip.
I carry a Spyderco Manix2.
They are both cofortable, strong, usable knives.

Spyderco Manix 2 gets my vote! And if you watch you can pick one up for like $60......

I just watched a video by Blade HQ today on the BM Griptillian. $70.00

If I carried a folder all the time, I think I'd go with that, but I don't so I won't.

Good luck

I have a knockout, it's a good knife. However my favorite all time folder is my ZT0350 blem that I got from kershawguy.com.

Ritter grip is a good place to start. So's Spyderco. Tenacious is one of my favorite starter Spydies, but can't go wrong with a Manix2, Sage, or Para2 Kershaw Blur in S30V is a great value. Cryo might be a fun buy also. Benchmade onslaught is another fun one. I'd put a little more thought into what exactly you want out of your folder. And don't forget the Kabar Phat Bob. It's about as close as we get to a Becker folder for now.

Beware... I started out with several of those. Now I'm carrying an LE HTM Gun Hammer, and can barely get myself to carry any of my "cheaper" 100 dollar folders, let alone the 30-60 dollar ones.

Here's another vote for a Kershaw Skyline or a Buck Vantage Pro. That last one has served me so well. Many little imperfections imo, but I just forgive that blade. Don't know why, but I think it's awesome.
