Earlier this month, a buddy tipped me off about the Buck Custom Shop. I went to the website, and ordered a 110 with the S30V blade, nickel bolsters and pins, black G10 scales.
It showed up today, and damn, what a beautiful knife. Great steel, Bos heat treat, classic design and a wonderful reputation. A price point that makes you slap your forehead and say "How the heck can they do that?"
I am so pleased, that Monday, I am going to order a 113 Ranger Skinner with S30V steel and Walnut scales.

That is one great looking quality knife you got yourself. Congratulations!!!! Thanks for sharing.

They're pretty low key about the custom shop. I didn't hear about it until I got on bladeforums. How is that G10? Is it grippy or more smoothed? I've been eyeing a 110 with brass bolsters, G10, pins, and a BO plain edge blade.

Buck's first Custom Shop was started in 1980 and went to about 89. Then Richard Rochelle's custom offerings went from 2004-2009. Then in 2010 (about) the current one began.

Man that is the exact custom 110 I would like to order except for I want no pins. It is really good looking and should last forever. Great choice

Very nice! Congrats.

You will like the BUCK Ranger Skinner very much too. Mine is a plain one but I really, really like it since I am only using FB knives now.

That makes for a super nice and hard working 110. I'm waiting for my first CS Buck to come in a 112.
