I am watching the DVD Dallas sent out and while watching about the Yarborough knife I noticed the tip Chris's right index finger is gone.
Has he ever mentioned how that happened?

He obviously reached the pinnacle of sharpening enlightenment and created an edge so sharp that it could slice off a finger tip just by touching it. Then he had to baton through a thousand trees in order to dull it down to the edge that is now on the sebenza, so that we wouldn't all slice off our hands while trying to shave the hairs on our arms.

Well, he's been a knife maker for over 20 years and a tool and die maker before that. Sometime you loose bits of yourself around all that equipment.

Oh, and he also races motorcycles for fun, too. Don't forget that. Every rider I know has a few pins, plates, and/or zipper scars around their bodies.

Maybe Chris will check in and tell us....

Any one that has spent that much time around machining and knife making equipment is
bound to have lost something in the way of skin, or at least been gifted a scar or two. :)

It is a bullet wound.
It's not a subject he really enjoys talking about so I'll say no more about it.

I was filming with Chris in November and I wondered the same thing. I asked him about it off camera near the end of the shop tour and he said something about working on a motorcycle part in his garage and getting it caught. He didn't elaborate and he seemed to brush it it off like it was all in a day's work. He made it sound so nonchalant that I was satisfied without prodding him for details on camera. Maybe next time... -Ben

Mr. Ben please release part 2 tonight instead of tomorrow and do you have any word on when more 25's are coming in?
