You are correct sir!I believe it is a sharpening choil, not meant to be a finger choil. Does not bother me at all.
"No choil recurve." UGH! I hate that! You are correct sir!
The choil is VERY shallow, thus making it "snag free" and was obviously NEVER intended to be used for choking up on the blade.
This design is all about making this a heavy user, and heavy knife users will naturally sharpen their blades much more often.
Folks who sharpen their blades on a regular basis will appreciate the shallow sharpening choil, as it prevents the edge from getting a bad case of "no choil recurve" at the plunge!
Let's Drink!

I would love to do a review on mine, i used to do reviews on youtube until my health took an absolute nose dive. And my terrible luck right as my free rein shipped i got a bad infection in my leg and foot. So im out of commission for a while. So all i can say is it feels real good in hand. It came very sharp out of the box.. hair shaving. The stonewash was done very well. And i cant wait till i can actually use it. Cuz the most of done with it so far is take a pic of it and cut some mundane things.I would love to see more pics and read more reviews from folks who have gotten theirs![]()
