I ordered a Camillus before it is too late

I ordered a Camillus lockback folder yesterday. I don't have a Camillus. Oh, I've had numerous Camillus knives in the past but friends always admired them and so I'd make on-the-spot presents of them. Getting back to yesterday, I wanted to be sure to have a Camillus in case of the worst case scenario--Camillus being no more (do a search for the woes at the Camillus plant). For years, I lived in Syracuse, of which the Town of Camillus is a suburb. I didn't start carrying or collecting cultery until I no longer lived in Syracuse. Now, I want to remember my time in Syracuse and by extension Camillus cutlery. And so I ordered a Camillus lockback. I am waiting for the big brown truck.

It's a shame, Camillus is one of the few manufacturers that I've really liked every knife of theirs I've owned.

yeah, im thinking about getting the BK7 before they go out. just got a crewman, put it to the test the other day and stood up to the gauntlet.

Just got my BK7 a week or so ago. Can't say I've really put it to the test yet but I have given up a few arm hairs to it.

SMKW seems to be selling those classic lockbacks for $15. Not sure if they're seconds or not. Pretty good deal anyway.

Same story here. Got the BK10 Crewman just recently - I was impressed. I will be getting BK7 very soon.

Same again here.

Bought a Becker BK9 and a BK7 over the past couple of weeks.
Very glad to have them, they are terrific knives, especially at the price.

I think those SMKW models are made in China....any one buy one? They look to be made by the same China Manf. that made the Winchester run for Walmart last year....just my guess from the pictures of them.....
