Hello folks,

Just giving you an update of my search for my first (but not last--I hope:D) folder. After reading your replies the last few days to my first post in this forum, where I was asking you for advice re: bying a MCUSTA limited edition folder, and having done some research on my own, I decided to order a folder which costs about 1/3 of the price of the MCUSTA.

I decided that I shouldn't go for a very expensive knife and to start out learning and using knifes by using a cheaper knife. Another parameter, which made me forget about the MCUSTA, was that, while a beautiful knife, I would pay about $200 for just the art on it and the fact that it was a limited edition folder. The same knife in its "regular" version does not cost more that $100! Then I looked at some "real" customs...they were too expensive (at least $350) and some of them had small blades. They looked like beautiful toys.

The folder I ordered goes by the name.....

Benchmade Osborne Axis Lock with MCP, Plain Edge BM943

I do hope I made the right decision and that I would be happy with the knife I chose. What do you think?

Thanks for reading me...

Best wishes,
Edalb

Good choice. Benchmade has quite a following here for good reason. I'd wager your only regret is that you'll want more and more of them.

You will love it. Benchmade makes a top notch folder. Welcome aboard and hold on to your wallet as it is a slippery slope here on the forums. I started lurking and visiting on a regular basis in either '99 or 2000. I joined in 04 and have spent thousands thanks to this lovely place.

I think you made a good choice. I just bought a new Spyderco Endura with the foliage green grip and the combo edge. Looks like a rugged knife. Congrats on your choice.:)

Yep, you'll be happy......until 15 minutes after you get it in your hot little hands and you have to get on the computer and order another one!!! Then you'll spend the next four days not even looking at or touching your new benchmade as you pace up and down the hall in your house all day and all night, because, DAMMIT, the NEXT knife that shows up is gonna be the one, baby!! That's right, the NEXT one will be special, it'll be the be all, the end all, the last knife I ever need to buy.......hehehehehe ;)

You are so hooked.

Cheers,
Jon:)
