I saw some thick damascus finally and it is on the way. (photos when I get it!)

I told you guys I'd get to those kiridashis!

When I saw this billet I knew it was the one, anything over 3/16" is tough to find plus this is some good looking material!

If I have any extra ones I'll post them up for sale, I planned on four and have them sold but if I am lucky I can get six out of this extra large billet.

You get an extra one if I have it, sounds great! I also have the one in 5160 for you very close.

Being on break and then sick has set me back on the timing but after I am over the flu it is on! soon...

The kiridashis will likely be sooner; I'm still waiting on the mill and some other major equipment for the folders. I think the damascus is already in, I have to go pick it up in town. :D


I am finishing the current run of 11 knives (choppers, dashis, A2, etc) and after that it is damascus dashis, Ti knives (17 are about half finished) and then it is folder thirty. :cool:

I just checked and you are on the list! :D

It was a ways back we decided to do these. I am glad I found a thick piece of damascus to do them right!
 
I've missed your videos. Perhaps you can post a few over the progress of this one?
 
The piece is just nuts! High contrast and a killer pattern.
