Hello Forum Family,
I want to apologize for being AWOL for a while. I am sure I am late on responding to some emails and PMs and I am very sorry. If you have been waiting for a response from me please re-send.
Early in the morning of November 24 my father's shop building caught on fire. His entire adult life's work went up in smoke. He has been a steel hauling truck driver since he was 18 years old and this building was his area to work on his trucks as well as work on and store all of his farming equipment, and a lifetime of hobbies. We were able to save his semi truck as it was parked next to the building instead of inside. We also saved a skid steer, pontoon boat, and 1 of his tractors as they were in one of the open bays of the building. Everything inside was a complete and total loss. Campers, side-by-side, golf cart, lawn mowers, welders, air compressors, my Mom's Mustang, chain saws, more tools than I could ever begin to count, kayaks, camping gear, hunting equipment, the list goes on and on. We also lost over 220 large round bales of hay which was supposed to feed all our horses for the winter.
I have been helping sort through insurance paperwork and trying to help them dig out of this tragedy as best I can. Unfortunately, that has all kept me away from the shop. If you have tried to contact me via email or PM since November 24 could you please do me a favor and reach out to me again. This has been overwhelming for my parents and I have run myself into the ground trying to help them. I am not complaining or looking for sympathy here. I consider it my duty as their son to do whatever is necessary when needed. Just wanted to explain my absence and apologize if I have missed anything.
Here are a few pics, it was a legit fire that required 7 different fire departments to respond. These brave men and women are truly heroes and as far as I am concerned do not make near enough money for what they do. They fought the flames from about midnight until well past 7am. With all the hay that was in the building we had 3 re-ignitions that required their assistance again over the next few days. There is actually some hay still smoldering today in the pile that used to be a 80x80 building, its been over a week and still some hot spots.

Thank You all for understanding. I swear I am not just ignoring everyone.
Please keep my parents in your prayers as this has devastated them. Almost 40 years of life treasures, memories, and equipment lost in the blink of an eye. And pray for me as I have been tasked with dealing with the insurance stuff. Beyond frustrating at times.
The silver lining in the whole thing is that this has really shown us some amazing people, both friends and strangers who have gone out of their way to help. Thanks to a huge blessing from the local horse community we will have hay for the horses for the winter.
Out of the ashes we will rise stronger than ever.
