I paid for gold membership but I'm not sure I did it right.

I paid for gold membership, and I think it may of messed up since I used a different email for my paypal then my sign up.

You're all set but you have update your usergroup to show you have a paid membership. To do this Click on Settings (top right) -> Permissions Groups and update.
