Look out folks... I passed my CDL tests today. I could soon be driving an 18 wheeler on an interstate near you :D:D:D

The plan is to bug out of the Black Hills early next week... drop Buddy the Wonder Dog off at Wal's house, then head back to SD to start my orientation/OJT driver's training.

After 25,000 miles or so, I'll be allowed to trek around the country in my very own truck... Buddy the Wonder Dog by my side :)

So the next time you see a big grill in your rear-view mirror, smile and wave... it might be ME

Alan

Better get that rack mounted in my truck's rear window so I can hang the 30" Sirupati in it. Besides, maybe it'll cut down on tailgaters.

Looks like Congratulations are in order. If you get down into Texas You might give Sarge and I a phone Call. There are a lot of trucks go by my house. They use this state Hwy for a short cut. I will watch my rear view mirror.:) :D

Congratulations AC, well done.:)

When I was a kid growing up, and even as a young man, I had a great deal of respect for the big rig drivers. The majority of them were true professionals, and in spite of their sometimes rough exterior, for the most part gentlemen with big hearts. Sadly, I can't say the same nowadays, too many hacks out there. These days I cast a wary eye on big rigs as I travel the interstates. Many of their drivers are rude at best, and dangerous at worst. It's good to know at least one driver out there'll be a khuk totin' good guy.:D :) :D

In West Kaintucky we call that an "Easy Rider Rifle Rack". :D

Congrats, Alan!

Keep the shiny side up, the dirty side down
Keep your wheels between the ditches and
your hands out of your britches!

Catch you on the flip!

:D :D

I hoe you enjoy your new career and find it to be fulfilling and lucrrative (I know that is a lot to ask for any job, but not a good one.)

Keith

As one ruler of reptiles used to say, "Keep your eyes on the road and your hands up on the wheel."

Tell me if you make it up to MD, DC or VA.

(got some new spike strips to test out... )

:p

Congrats on the CDL. Now kiss your butt goodbye. Only takes about 2-3 weeks to become permanently numb.

Congratulations!:D

Hoghead and I live at the intersection of HWY 83 and I 80. So feel free to stop by. You can park your rig right in front of our cave, pretend your eating at Burger King and come over and check out his "little" Khuk toys:rolleyes: :footinmou I'll even make lunch or dinner:D Breakfast is a cup of coffee, but BK is right close:rolleyes:

Thanks everyone! I'm going to have to print this out with all the invites for visits.

Pen, my butt has been numb now for about three/four years. Too much time sitting in front of a computer for hours and hours. :D

Congrats Alan and if you're ever on I-44 at exit 240-A in Oklahoma, you can park at the Git&Go on 193rd and we'll come after you.
Or you can stop at the World Famous Bruce's Truck Stop up a mile on 161st. Bruce's is the one that got wiped out 10 years ago last month by an F-5.
Just watch out for the lot lizards that's found there.:p  ;)

Bruise, the more I think i know about you, the less I really know about you. I'm okay with surprises.
