i-phone help

I am having a problem with the i-pod function of my i-phone. I have one playlist on the phone, when I hit play it will play the first song in the playlist, then it plays the same song again. I have looked through all the settings on the phone and can't find anything that looks like it would affect this. I don't remember changing anything, but my son has played with the phone so something could have changed by accident.

Should I just delete the playlist from the phone and re-load it from my i-tunes?

Sounds like "repeat" is on. If you tap near the top of the screen you will get more controls: a repeat/loop button, a time scrub control, the current time into the track and time remaining, and a shuffle control. If the loop on the left is blue, tap it so it is clear and you are good to go.
