Nighthaxan does these really cool Kiridashis and what he calls a pocket scalpel with a wrapped handle. They are little utlity necker sized fixies that were very bushcraft style. Recently, I saw him selling a few that he had just done up and saw that he scaled up one of the kiridashis in micarta with orange liners. I was in need of an unobtrusive hiking buddy so I figured that one of these might serve well in that capacity. So....on that note, I emailed him and asked if he could scale up one of his pocket scalpels for me in micarta and he said sure!

The steel is 1084 and has a nice edge on it. It's very cute as you can see, I love it! His wife does the sheaths and she did a great job as well! I was originally going to pick up another production folder for fun, but wanted to support the guys on the forum in other ways. What do you fellas think of it? I'm very pleased with it myself.

I like it a lot. Would love to see it with a ruler in pic to really get an idea of the size. How thick is the blade stock? How much does it weigh? Can see that really fitting the bill as a little hiking companion :)

Thanks for sharing

Nice! Looks great i like the sheath too does it have a belt loop or a clip for pocket?

Looks great, I like it. Looks like a very well built sheath as well.

Love it, I love to carry a small fixed blade while squirrel hunting, usually I carry a AG Russell woods walker, in the back pocket style sheath, this looks like this would make a wonderful knife for that use.

I didn't realize it until I handled it for a spell, there's a little space in front of the blade that you can pinch, between that and the micarta scales you can get a real nice grip on it for fine detail work, skinning I imagine or whittling and can get a solid 3 finger grip onto it.

Very nice. Blade stock looks crazy thick for such a small knife.

Really nice!
I'd love one.
I have a kwaiken friction folder from Charles and just love it.
