I tried to make a post on this forum.

It was about a kickstarter for an EDC.
it got removed.
Which is fair. But I have no idea why. Was it counting as advertisment? Did I post it in the wrong subforum?

So my question is: how do I discover and check which rules I violated?

This is fair. But Is there a subforum where I can post advertisment content?

I am not affiliated with those people, but usually social media knives (or other viral products) have a lot of defects. So I wanted to discuss it, see what other people think etc.

You can discuss a maker and their work in generic terms, in other words without linking or promoting. You can ask about the maker's work, show a picture of a piece of work...all without getting into the nuts and bolts of contact information, websites, etc.

You cannot advertise on this site without the proper membership level appropriate to the matter.
