I question for my Fat Handed brothers and sisters

So I just got a ESEE-6 in the mail today. I really like the handle on it. The only problem with the 6 is that the blade is you know, like 6 inches long. I'm really looking for a smaller belt knife, but I'm worried about the handle size. My hands are not large (I wear a size medium/large glove generally) But they are fat. I've got some mashed up fingers on my right hand so they are pretty wide.
So my question is, ESEE-3 or ESEE-4? Also, while were here, which knife is a better whittler? Slicer?

Thanks a bunch

Being a bit fat handed myself, I didn't like the 4, the handle was a bit too small for that blade, IMO (Now, an ESEE TAK, with the ESEE6 handle on a .150" thick 4" blade. . .), so I'd say the 3 is the better choice, the handle doesn't feel bad on that blade, and it's definitely the better slicer, but still a tough knife.

These threads on the 4 versus 3 is what makes it difficult to decide.

I would not get either the 3 or 4 if you have big hands!

I don't have particularly large or fat hands and the 3/4 handle is a little small for me. The tang/glass breaker does not stick out past the bottom of my hand much (if any) and the grip itself does not fill up the palm of the hand like a 5 does. If you are looking for a smaller blade with a bigger handle go for the HEST...or another knife company.

I have enormous hands (some xxxl gloves dont fit..) and I have several ESEE-3s and a ESEE-4, and use them plenty.

The handles are a bit small, but they are plenty comfortable to me. The size of the handles helps with carrying, but they also work very well in use.

Hell, my work EDC is an Izula, and it is much smaller than the 3 or 4...and also plenty comfortable.

This is going to sound stupid. But does some one know how thick the handles on the 4 are?

Wrong wrong wrong. Everyone is wrong.

Just get a junglas. Then the six will FEEL like a small knife!

It's long, but doesn't pass my knee. short people could get rid of the molle leg drop and make it ride higher on the belt. As for heavy it's only a 22 oz knife. And really, compared to tossing a machete on belt....it's easy

I have to agree. I'm a Big guy with Big Hands... I use my Izzy with no problems, but I do love my 5 just as much. Different animals.

Hmmm... I'd like to see someone do a junglas belt carry lol

at your service :D junglas on my left and the esee-4 on my belt buckle.
