I ran out of Elbow grease!

Hi guys and galls, Sunday I screwed up my right elbow. Not sure how I did it, though the pain started after I finished scrubbing the shower stall and bathroom floor. Might be related might now. After Nasty left Sunday night I iced my elbow for about one and a half hours. Didn't seem to help. Didn't sleep well that night and it was killing Monday morning. My elbow was swollen, red and very hot. so I went to the ER which is only 2 blocks from my house. After the doctor and Nurse checked me out I found out that I have Olecranon Bursistis (It's sort of like running out of Elbow grease): http://my.webmd.com/hw/health_guide_atoz/aa136635.asp?navbar=aa136877

Bursitis is an inflammation of small sacs of fluid (bursae) that help joints move smoothly. Bursitis of the olecranon bursa at the back of the elbow is sometimes called Popeye elbow.

IIRC the doc said that mine popped. So I get a few days off work, a nifty wrap for my elbow and some strong medications. If I seem out of sorts this week, that's why. Thanks for listening. I'm getting off to rest and take my meds.

I had something similar. I fell while rollerblading and the first thing to hit the cement was my right elbow. It hurt for a while, bacame swollen, and refused to bove more than about 15 degrees in any direction, resting at about 90 degrees.

I went to my doctor (I now dislike him due to lack of doing anything) who refered me to a specialist after having x-rays taken. The specialist said that it was just fluid and that nothing was broken.

No medication, nothing but saying "your elbow is fine, you just have some fluid in there"

PS: I got no time off from school.
 
Dang, Heb. sorry to hear about your elbow. Look on the bright side. No severed tendons:) I think i might have done something like that when i was in 7th grade. Some big fat bastid landed on me at football practice and smashed my forearm flat to my bicep then stepped on my elbow. My elbow was pretty much useless for a couple weeks. He also managed to jam my ulna into my growth plate making it impossible to my arm past 90 degrees. Hope you have a speedy recovery!

yoippari, Ouch! That had to of hurt. Stupid doctor. You should come out to Utah, we have some great doctors and nurces here. Some Hot ones too (the females that is ;).

Yvsa, is it my drugs or yours? I can't understand your post at all. LOL.

If anyone knows any cute avaliable college aged girls in the Provo/Orem UT area, send them over. I could use the loving. ;) :D
