Something about Busse....ya know besides being the best fixed blades knives on the planet, and a core group of very cool people. Maybe it's the fun of using them, collecting them, searching/hunting/trading/selling them to find that one which is your Grail Busse, the "take it to the grave" Busse. Hell maybe it's all those things. I dunno, I just know I really like em....alot.
Everybody has their favorites, that one, two or three knives that you're always to trying to get more of or just get one of. We go through stages...find one think it's the "one" only to find out it's not and move onto the next Busse. I have that one I'll never sell, the "take it to the grave" Busse, but there are 3 Busses that I have a real fondness for and I think that's because I have never found their equal, let alone something better. Jerry may come out with something that will replace my Grail Busse (doubt it but maybe) but these 3 are perfect....yeah, a word I don't use very often...and I know that he'll never be able to best their pefection. They are the benchmark for EDC fixed blade knives....period! And, I finally found the one that has been eluding me for a long time...so here they are.
All originals: Meaner Street (my first Busse), a Leaner Meaner Street, and a Active Duty. All 3 in my favorite configuration for Busse EDC, double cut and snakeskin. I took the pictures with the slabs oiled and natural...I personally prefer the natural, shows off the colors more. Enjoy!
