I just ended a 4 months job and I'm back home.

I wanted to celebrate with a new blade, as mentionned in another thread.

I wrote Yangdu to ask her if she had anything special around.
Remembar that one?

That one was for sale back in April, my comment in the thread was in the "Nice, but I'm broke" path.

Apparently, I wasn't alone because Yangdu still had the blade that she offered me at a Christmas price. The blade finally found it's way to me.

Thanks Yangdu. Thanks a lot.

I bought a Bilton for my Dad for Christmas. Pics of 2 happy guys with Nepali knives coming :)

Now a question. Is that Himalayan sword a historical blade or a kami's interpretation of something else like the HI kerambit?

Oh, and that blade is exactly the same size as my Kali sticks :D

Great blade Cybrok. :)

The sword is the Kamis rendition of a Philippine Pinuti. That's a long knife or sword from the Northern Philippines. I had one and it a sweet blade.

That's what I tought. I went on a Ram's fundraising didn't it?

I think it will be fun to practice my kali moves with it. It will for sure be heavier than the rattan sticks.

What a beauty, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
I bought my brother a 20" Sirupati. I was handling it before I got it ready to wrap... there's just something special about holding such a nice blade.
I know he'll enjoy it, and put it to good use.

Best, and Merry Christmas,
-David

p.s. You going to wait till Christmas to really play with it? ; )

Yes it did. Good memory.:)

I go with Steve's naming and call that one the "HI Pinuti."

When the batch (of 6?) sold, Yangdu just called them "Himalayan swords," IIRC.

That one is freakin' nice, BTW.
