I'm a broke college student on full time clinical rotations. I might be able to slowly scrape up the $200ish to get one, but, is there anywhere in the Jacksonville or preferably St. Augustine area that I could handle one to make sure it's not too big? Somewhere in the Gainesville area would also work as I'm there some too.

I have searched online for a local retailer and I can't find anywhere.

Thanks for the help in advance

Have you considered a blem? I live in Canada so I never had the opportunity to buy from the Kershawguy, but I have always read wonderful things.

He doesn't have anymore at the time. That was the first thing I checked as I have a 0550 gen 2 blem that is awesome.

I know the Gun Gallery on Beach Blvd carry some ZT's and maybe Shooters on University Blvd may carry some.

i havent seen to many 0560 blems around......if i do ill let u know. the 0550 is a great knife as well u may want to check out dave has blems of them for great price

Shooters of Jacksonville should have them in stock. The last time I was there a few months ago they had one in the case I played with.

For me, the knife is too big for edc but I sure hope it fits your specific needs as it would be an awesome edc.

Good luck!

Can't help you find one locally, but here's an easy way to save up the money while doing clinicals.

Don't buy snacks on breaks, bring them from home. Same for meals, drinks, etc. maybe you already do, but I saved a ton of money in just a few weeks doing that when I was in the middle of my EMT clinicals.

Maybe check out a 350, they are pretty small compared to some others and a great knife and you can pick one up for under $100.

I have a 550, 560, and 561. I much prefer the 550. I have decent sized hands, and the 560 & 561 feel too big.

If you have a 0550, the 0560/0561 is longer but shallower and doesn't feel as thick. Personally, I love my 0561, but I like big knives. The 0560/0561 doesn't carry like a big knife, the 0550 actually feels a little bigger in the pocket to me.

While you save, perhaps the 0566 will come out and you'll be able to get the same ergos at a smaller size, which sounds more like what you are wanting. The 560 is pretty big, IMO. I like the knife a lot, but I most likely wouldn't carry it around with me all the time. The 566 will be 1/2" shorter in the blade and about 1" shorter overall.

The 0566 will be a great option, it's basically a shorter 0560 blade in a 0550 handle.

I already do this, not so much to save for a knife, but in genreal cause buying lunch every day gets insane.

I'll probably just save up slow and try to handle one. If the 566 comes out I'm going to try it out (although I like Ti vs SS). If I don't like the 560 (or 566), I'll just sell it on the exchange.

Thanks everyone for the replies, if I end up with one ill post in this thread!
