After saving 3 years for a sebenza and finally going to the shop, they are out of the classic model. shif snif. now they only have the regular left, for R3750, but I can pick up a mnandi for R3950. now I am split between those two. Cant decide any more 3 years of deciding is taking its tole I am 22 and going grey!:):grumpy::o:yawn::D:eek::p

Can they order a 21 for you? I have big paws, and my Mnandi is too small for me. The regular will hold its value, but I don't see it becoming a collectors item too fast, lots of them out there. You could probably find a deal from a fellow collector in South Africa. Reeve may still have contacts there? I thought that he still gets the one piece line started there?

The dealer already accommodated me and said he will contact me as soon as new stock comes in. I think I might go with the regular, but will wait and see, I just want to buy a chris reeve before I move, its my personal graduation gift. :->

If it were me, I'd get the regular. I'd rather be carrying and cutting than saving and waiting any longer. If you wanted a classic the regular will work but I don't think the Mnandi would.

I agree. I'd get the regular too. First it will be a collector piece than IMO it's a better hard use folder than the Mnandi (gentleman's knife) and the Classic (the point always seems too fragile to me).
My 2 cents.

Sorry to hear about that. But I agree with most of the other posters here, get the regular, you won't regret it.

Still plenty at dealers if you do a proper search.

I doubt any would have difficulty getting it to you in SA.

;)

You saved for three years for a classic? A few more weeks ought to be nothing for you then :D.

Seriously though, if I had been saving that long for something I had my heart set on, I would wait for my dealer to get new stock*. If you absolutely can't wait, I would grab the regular .

*Unless your dealer promised otherwise, when new stock does come in, it will most likely be the Sebenza 21, not the Classic. They are slightly different.

I wanted the regular, got the small reg. I keep looking at the 21 (online), and can't get to like it. That's a good thing "choice". I knew I allready wanted the small, that was easy, but I debated on the newer 21. I am still happy with the regular. Good luck with whatever is your choice.
