That there was a Medium Sebenza. I live in AZ and we don't have any silly restrictions on blade length so I can carry my Large Sebenza with no problems, but in the future my wife and I may be moving to WA state near or within Seattle where there is a 3.5" blade length law. As we all know, the Large is 3.625" in blade length. I could carry a Small, but it's a bit TOO small for my taste, and I don't want to sharpen the blade to the point that I've knocked that much metal off of it just to make it conform.

If only there were a Medium, right around 3.3"-3.4", for people that have to deal with silly laws regarding knives but don't want to carry significantly under the allowed blade length to make up for it...

I really don't see a need for a "medium" sebenza. The slight changes that would need to be made to fit in between are just not feasible for CRK to produce.

I think it would fit a nice niche. As I mentioned, it's illegal to carry a Large Sebenza in many states, and people in those states may not want to drop to a sub-3" blade because of the laws. That would push them away from the Sebenza altogether.

But I can see it not being feasible as you mention.

While I would love it, doubt I will ever see it. Makers tend to like larges in the 3.5" range and smalls of 3" or less to fit certain laws. This seems to be the sweet spot of knife making. I have had a real hard time finding knives in the 3.25" range that I also like and are any where close to affordable. I know it's not a big difference, but it's a size that fits me well.

I would rush out to buy a medium size. Wish they had a 3.25" blade. I also carry in my rotation a ZT 0566 which was the largest knife I had in my arsenal til my Sebenza showed. My 0566 is the perfect size knife for me.

Just grind .125 off the blade tip. Lol That's only 1/8 of an inch. You can always buy a new blade from CRK if the need arises.

I've been dreaming about a 3.25" Sebenza for about 10 years now, but a dream is all it ever will be.

They would sell like hotcakes, but it would take some sales away from the large and small. And while most buy a large and small now, if they made a medium some may only buy the medium instead of both. CRK would also have to set up for three sizes instead of two, so I understand why it will never happen.

Of course most of us here would buy any size they made, but we're not the average CRK buyers. Believe it or not many can stop at one or two(I don't see how either:p). I have a few local friends that never post on a forum that have Sebenza's, and none have over two.

I have my first right now and I will have at LEAST one more. I have a 21 and when I have the funds I'll be getting either a Small or a 25. I can see people only getting a couple, though. I don't care for the looks of the Ti Lock, Mnandi, or the large fixed blades that only come with serrations, but I love the looks of the Sebenzas and the Umnumzaan.

I was thinking my 25 was a medium and hoping CRK comes out some day with a large folder:)
