A few days ago I emailed Kershaw, asking if they could send a torsion bar to me for one of my full-sized Cyclones, as the AO in that one is somewhat slower than my other full-sized Cyclone, and the blade on it doesn't close with as much "power" as my other Cyclone. In just a couple days, I received a small package from Kershaw, with a torsion bar enclosed. That was last Friday (or maybe Thursday?). And then today, I received ANOTHER (the same) torsion bar from Kershaw. I only requested one.

Thomas W...Since I've had NO luck finding a trade for a Kershaw knife sharpener (and I'm too broke to buy one :(), do you think that Kershaw would be interested in trading me this extra torsion bar for a Kershaw Ultra-Tek Sharpener?.:D.:D.:D. (Just kidding.).

keep it for when you forget to open your knife before checking under the hood. I had one fly 20 feet the other day ;)

With my bad luck, I'm pretty sure that one of the ends would end-up stuck in my forehead anyhow if it went flying out of the knife, so it wouldn't be all that hard to find.:D.:D.

...
Check out the Hewlett sharpeners if you want to spend less
They are the same as the Kershaw - I think
...
Even if the Hewlett is the same sharpener as a Kershaw, it still ISN'T a Kershaw.;).

This is interesting. I have a boa that opens slower than some other smaller speed safe's I have but I just chalked it up to it being a bigger, therefore slower blade....Think there might be a problem with the torsion bar?

Heavy, the Boa is the slowest of all Kershaw AO's. Your torsion bar is fine.

thomas -that better be a texas tech bobby knight- if its a indiana one i will never buy another kershaw

Hope you don't get flooded with a bunch of these concerns, Thomas, but I have four leeks and all spring out beautifully, except for my G10 S30V model which feels very sluggish and stiff. What do you think?

Thanks,
Jon

A good cleaning, lube, then adjust the pivot screw may be just the ticket for ya.
