I received a Kershaw 1630 Cyclone today, and all I can say is......WOW!! This is now my most favorite folder of all-time!!, and is now my new "EDC". What a SOLID knife!

THANK-YOU, Thomas!!...

Nice guy that I am, a Cyclone was sent instead of the Whirlwind "copy" he won on the last contest.

Ah, I see how it works, you decide to give away a fantastic piece of chinese craftsmanship like that, and when it came time to part with it, you couldn't give it up.

I hope that the AUTHENTIC Kershaw that you sent glockman can live up to the lofty expectations you set with that amazing chinese copy. ;)

:thumbup:Great job Thomas, that was really nice of you, I knew you would never intentionally subject someone to that horrible copy.

I WAS praying for G-Man. Only shecky deserves such a fine POS like the " copy".

I have a feeling that this Cyclone could cut that China knife clear in-half! I have hardly been able to put it down since I received it alittle over 3 hours ago. If anyone is trying to figure out which Kershaw knife to buy next, do yourself a BIG favor and buy a Cyclone...I am 100% sold on this knife, as well as Kershaw itself!...And Thomas...I really can't thank him enough!...He REALLY "made my day", and I am very humbled by his kindness...

Well, as of tomorrow, I'll have a PE Mini-Cyclone on the way from a trade I made here at BladeForums. What a PERFECT pair that my Cyclone (Thank-You, again, Thomas!) & Mini-Cyclone is going to make...My new "EDC" pair...

Glad you like it Glockman! I was thinking of suggesting the Cyclone a while back but was not sure if you liked smooth aluminum scales. I put 3M "safety walk" material on mine for a better grip. It is very similar to the material Kershaw uses on some of their knives. It is a great knife. It has taken the place of my Leek for left side/hand EDC for now:D.

The Cyclone was the first one to draw me into Kershaw folders. My first and still one of my favorites! I LOVE the blade shape!

Today I received the 1635 Mini-Cyclone that I traded for, and just like the full-sized 1630 Cyclone that I have, this one too, is a...WOW! I can't believe that these two knives don't sell for at-least a $100 more than they do...Total quality!...

Maybe a little ot, but SOLEIL I use the same 3M stair tape to cover my pocket clips. It helps when pulling the knife out and it also keeps the clips from really standing out with a bright finish.

That's a good idea...I'll have to try that...
