Earlier this week, I received a package from our friend from Bavaria Andi.
As it turns out, I won Andi's 7k post GAW for an exquisite Languiole Knife. This type of knife is a huge departure from what I typically carry in a traditional knife. I never really considered one before. Well, I was pleasantly surprised when I received this knife. While it is a long, slender knife, don't let that fool you into thinking it's delicate by any means. It has some nice width to it and a stout construction. It has a four inch blade that will make a great slicer. I also like a lot of the details of the knife such as the back spring engraving, the signature bee at the tang and the Shepard's Cross pins in the covers. It's a nice mix of Beachwood, brass and carbon steel. Sorry for the lousy pics. We're getting a rainy Sunday here today.
Thank you very much Andi. I will give it some pocket time it deserves.
