I received this email from Derrick @ Knives Ship Free yesterday.
Derrick,
I'd like to personally extend my sympathies & prayers for you and Wendy & many more for the doctors who are working on her.
May Wendy have a fast & painless recovery.
The 10 days or so have been hard to take around here. You guys know my wife, Wendy as the one who answers your emails and calls.
Over the past year, unbeknownst to us, she has been developing a sizable brain tumor (about the size of a tennis ball.) The tumor has begun to significantly effect her memory and some of her cognitive skills.
The doctors are very hopeful that we will be able to have Wendy back 100%. This next week, she goes into the hospital on Wednesday and will have open brain surgery the next day.
We would appreciate your prayers. If you click on the picture of Wendy and me, you will go to her CaringBridge site (you enter at "my story" but you can check the welcome page for regular updates). It is just a blog where you can find out what is going on with her. We have a dear friend who is keeping it up for us. You probably remember her. She is Trish.
What about KSF?
Trish has been working with us for about 5 or 6 months taking pictures and putting things up on the website and has a great understanding of our business. She is taking on many more hours and will be answering email and telephones.
Annette has shipped for us for over a year and does a fabulous job. She is also taking on some more responsibilities.
So, KnivesShipFree goes on. We tell you this because we don't want you to lose faith in our commitment to being your go-to place for knives.
Thank you for being our customer. Thank you more for your prayers.
Sincerely,
Derrick & Wendy Bohn
