Today I was putting threadlocker on the pivot screws and the screws because the knife keeps coming loose, but the screws stripped before they were even fully tightened. Not to mention this is not the first time the screws stripped but it came with some back up screws. What I need is some steel pivot screws for the reate horizon d because the titanium is way to soft . So my question is does any body know a place where I can get screws like that.

Sorry, no ideas for replacements.

Are you certain that it's a legit Reate? I was considering one, but if this is a true account I won't be buying one.

I got it from blade hq so I am pretty sure it is legit. I have had other reates that have been at the point of midtech level. Honestly if they made the screws a tighter fit it would of been perfect.

Have you tried contacting Reate?

They will get you more screws but they are gonna charge you shipping. I was quoted $35 to ship me a pivot. I would take a screw to ACE, Fastenall or see if mcmaster carr has anything that is an equivalent.

What stripped? The screw heads? Are you using a quality driver set?

Knifekits.com sells a variety of screws for knives. It helps to know the thread pitch and whether it's a metric or standard screw.

I had a Benchmade torx set, and although Benchmade makes good knives, their torx drivers are sub-par.
