When I told the people at Fisher this, they told me I was the only one who did so!
Anyhow. here's what I did.
I had a BLACK Enamel one. It was Okay. Chipped like a fiend, tho, and looked TERRIBLE when chipped.
So. I took it to a Jeweler. He polished off ALL the enamel, buffed it up, and Nickel Plated it.
Was fantastic. TIll I lost it.
(No different than a Fisher Chrome Bullet, tho)
Anyhow. Here's what was neat-o:
The "barrel" was now a few mills SMALLER than it used to be. So the cap, when put on the non-pen end didn't sit like a cap, it would "reverse swallow the pen" the whole way.
Too cool.
There are some TIGHT tolerances there.
PS: If you ever get a Fisher pen, just get a chrome. Regular Chrome. The rest, even the titanium, evenually scratch or wear a "ring" of wear around the fatter end.
