Just thought about this is responding to another thread... I remember (and finish it :D ).

I remember the first time I met Jerry. Treated me like a life time friend he hadn't seen in a while.

I remember a blade show and tell in the back of a rental car in a parking lot at 11 o'clock at night outside Sunny's.

There are others, but I'll hold off for know. What do you remember that puts a smile on your face (pertaining to infi). Others: Meeting Kim, Skunk teaching dance lessons, trough at blade, Voracious' horticulture demonstration, etc... (More on some of these later LOL). It's fun remembering and talking about the memories that are still with us. Man, hard to stop writing cause so many memories are coming back.

.

The look on my friends faces' when I told them how much money I paid for a knife...priceless

I remember saying:

"Hey, aren't you the guy who shaved with a PD?" .... and documented it with pictures.

or catching you and Jody in the alley gloating over the picture of the BM variant you where about to snag. :p

I remember you are all imaginary as far as I know. . . except for those I've sold knives to and bot knives from. . . although for all I know, you could still all be one dude. So at least one of you ISN'T imaginary. The rest - I'm watchin ya!

Blade 07 was wild!!! I'll never forget it. 08 was good but 07 was something else!http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=479577

Funny.... the time Paddlingman put that pic in his avatar:D:D:D You know, the one Jerry fooled him with. Sorry Stacey, but that may be the hardest I've ever laughed. You were a great sport about it Stacey:thumbup:

This from 08 was pretty dang funny:D...sorry cobalt.

I'll also always remember telling MikeH at Blade 07, " you don't really want that knife do you Mike? " His reply, " Do you really want this knife... here you go" What a class act Mike is:thumbup:

Heck I could go on and on about the funny stuff thats happen'ed at Blade and Here

I remember ordering my first Busse (Assault Shaker) from Jerry over the phone....then ordering a Desert NO Variant and discussing what I was looking for out of the knife with him. Blew away my expectations after receiving it.

I remember my first Blade Show...sort of.

 Meeting my customers face to face for the first time (I'd done business with GPB for about 5 years prior)...Hammy, Strabs, OneWhoBuys, Dock, Doug, and of course, "Uncle Gerry" and his amazing crew (to include Blade Babe and Shaggy)

 Induction at Papa Doe's (I know that's not spelled right) and what a genuine surprise it was.

:o " Brian...I ate maggots!" Sharing a room with GPB after the "eating contest"...this was augmented by numerous chats with "Mrs GPB" to assure her that hubby was really Okeydoke

:D The realization that I'd been truly blessed to be associated with Gerry, his company, and his customers. (Based not only on my interactions with them but on observation of other "companies" and their customer base at the show)

:p Oh, and of course, my first trip to a Churrasco :D

I remember looking at this pic and almost seeing two guys in there somewhere!

never been to Blade or the like, but I'll always remember how amazed I was when my first Busse (.32 ASH1) arrived in the mail. I'm still amazed by this chunky beast, as is everyone else who sees and touches it.

Meeting Tony G in the 'Pit' at Blade ... and realizing he was exactly what he seemed to be. And that's very cool.

Talking metallurgy with Cobalt and Jerry. Not that I'm an actual metallurgist -- it was still fun. :D

Which reminds me. Trading knives in a parking lot in NoVa with Cobalt. The passers-by gave us ... such looks!

Squealing at the Trough ... right behind that giant of a man, Mike H. And watching him pass back prime snags to us runts in the back. What a guy!! :);)

I remember the cigar smoking contest and losing to the wind picking up after the other competitors :grumpy:

I remember when I was chatting in the hallway of the hotel room in '04 with Mike (Can't remember which porker... he hasn't posted in forever and played in a band) as some "thugs" walked by. They saw Mike holding a Busse, side stepped, addressed him as Sir and kept walking. LOL!!!!!! It was priceless :D:thumbup:

That was Porkadiggum.

He still lurks, snags the occasional trough offering, and lets the new kids run rampant...
