I saw a Spydie on a soldier today on TV!

I believe the soldier was with the 1st batallion, 7th whosamacallits. They entered an Iraqi village and him and a bud were checking out/chatting with an elderly woman. In PLAIN sight was a spydie of some sorts that was clipped to his load bearing rig on the left shoulder. Spydie hole was the dead giveaway. I don't know what model it was- is there a Spydie that has a carabiner-type clip attached to it at the top? It looke dliek there ws a mini-clip liek that and it was just clipped to the soldier's gear. I was happy to see a soldier carrying a great piece of cutlery, and to see it on TV! Way to go Spyderco too!

im no spydie expert, but your description reminds me of the remote release knife ?

Yep if it wasn't the Remote Release it was probably the Spyderco Snap-It.
