Went and visited Bill the other day at the GoEx booth at the Harrisburg sportmans show. It is always a pleasure to see him and his lovely wife and to hang out and chat awhile. Another forum member meet me up there and I enjoyed meeting him and his father. The lucky pair went home with three fantastic knives and I will let them chime in say what they got and if they want to post pics. I forgot my camera anyway so sorry I did not take any pics of the 5 wonderful knives he had with him. He had all carbon piece's with him no damascus stuff but he did give me a pic of a great damascus Hells Belle that he recently finished up for a customer. The knives he had with him where a carbon coffin handled Hell's Belle a coffin handled carbon bowie and two stag and carbon pieces one about .25 inch stock the other his more normal 5/16 stock. last but not least was a fantastic birds head ebony hand carved handle with silver pins and about a seven inch spear point carbon blade. I will try and get some pics of it I hope to be having dinner with him and his wife at the end of the week.
Here is the pic of the Hell's Belle that went out recently. I love the damascus in this knife.

Cool! I don't recall ever seeing one of his bird's head knives in anything other than a very dark wood like blackwood.

What a beautiful piece of art!

The true beauty of his blades is that they are without peer in bowie combatives work, as well as pieces of art.

I agree with Joe P and Joe M, a very unique handle.
Unique in a good way.
Joe, IMO your "Hell's Belle" is the finest all round I have seen.

Thanks Kevin .. Bill's wait is getting longer so I think at dinner I am going to be ordering another. I am thinking one exactly like mine but in carbon so I can carry it and be able to touch it up.. I have never seen a stag handled HB in carbon with iron fittings so I will let you know what he says.

hehe- I had a feeling reading through your thread, Joe, that next weekend is a long ways away.
Bagwell is lucky to have such devoted patrons, he must really deserve it:thumbup:. I don't know much about his knives, and it's great having you post pictures of them and share your thoughts as well.

man i never met the guy, but today i spent forging at my cousins, and here the guy were working with, had never forged before, but was telling a a really funny story about a knife made by a neighbor of his for his son,
At the end of the story, he says, i think the guy made a good many knives a while back, his name was bill bagwell......made the story even better!!
