I Screwed Up.......

I screwed up my BK14 sheath,
I stuffed some dryer lint in it so that the rattle would go away, but I stuffed it too much and now the 14 won't go into the sheath all the way.
I tried to use a hook made of wire to "fish" it out, but that didn't work.
Does anyone have any ideas to fix my problem? (other then "buy some kydex from azwelke or godspeed", I am thinking about doing my own kydex, but I don't know when I will get the time to do so.)

Thanks in advance,

Thicker wire. Try a coat hanger. Bend the tip with a pair of pliers and sharpen it a bit.

Another sheath complaint...:D

Try one of those metal nail files with the little hook on the end. If you can rake it out send the lint to Ethan.

Can you stick some small wire in the drain hole and push it back out?

I tried that, the drainage hole is a little small, I couldn't find a wire thin enough, yet strong enough to push the lint out.

I think I might try some coat hanger......

Send it back to Ethan......

That made me snort. :p

OD - try a little fish hook on some line and fish that stuff out of there. Or, you could get a can of compressed air (your keyboard probably needs cleaned anyway) and blow it from the drain hole side - watch your eyes. Sure there's other ways to skin this cat.

get ur garden hose...turn that joker on ''needle stream'' and jet blast that lint out of there!

use one of those bigger paper clips, bend a hook in the end with pliers. works for me.

Didn't know where to post this but since this thread has send it back to Ethan in it and I didn't want to resurrect that one from yesterday. I was just out in the garage putting my bk3 blank that I finished up to bed in my old bk9 sheath that I replaced with some azwelke kydex and I thought how useful this sheath is especially since the 3 is going to spend a lot of time in the emergency box. it made me smile thinking about the comments of yesterday and this sheath. I LOVE THIS SHEATH THANK YOU ETHAN , I'LL KEEP IT.
I'll post a couple pics from other computer in a minute.

Well, thanks for all the great ideas. I fixed it using a combination of a bent coathanger and some compressed air,
Thanks again
