We were driving thru The Valley Of Death (Death Valley) yesterday on business. I like to be close to my Becker knives so I had them with me.I dont know how many of you have seen Death Valley in person but I drove thru it for years before I started poking around to see what all the praise was about. If you ever get the chance to check it out I highly reccomend it, it's very unique to say the least but you want to go in winter or early spring when it's not real hot yet. It was 84 deg. yesterday
Just stopped at a couple places we were just passing thru!!

Great photos. Death Valley really is a good place to explore. It is a great time to go right now too! Thanks for the post.

yeah, unique place for sure! I enjoyed my trip thru there. The desert is pretty awesome to explore/visit even tho I dont wanna live there anymore...

That looks like a fun place, I gotta go there sometime, but I think I might have an issue convincing someone to go camping in the middle of the desert with me, given the fact that my friends consider me the knife freak of their friends..... And being the only truly crazy person they know doesn't help....

Never been but looks like you could have a blast exploring. Great backdrops to match great knives!

Awesome pics!

I really dig outdoor Becker glamour shots!

Thanks for sharing

An insane ultramarathon that takes place in Death Valley. It has been called 'The World's Toughest Foot Race' many many times. Dean Karnazes (famous ultramarathoner) has passed out while attempting it. He also has finished it a few times, but on one attempt he flat passed out. Scott Jurek, who is considered to be the Michael Jordan of ultramarathoning, has also passed out mid-race. The difference is that he got back up after a few minutes and went on to win the race. In one of his autobiographical books Dean K. describes how a tourist stopped to take pictures in Death Valley and got stuck in some molten hot mud that acted like quick sand/lava cement and died there on the roadside.

Sorry to draw on, but I am also really into ultramarathoning and when I saw this thread it evoked some old info I have researched. But back on subject, with everything I have said: yeah, not a bad idea to be prepared in that environment.

"Fear No Evil" sounds like a good thing to "clich" onto the blade of a BK9.

Back to the topic at hand. Nice pictures. I've never been much of a desert man, but I've always thought Death Valley would be someplace neat to visit just to be able to say I was there.
