Hello everyone,

I sold my knife on eBay to person who lives in U.S. (Georgia).
I shipped it today (I live in Croatia)via Croatian Post, but I'm afraid that there could be problems with U.S. customs.
Since I don't live in U.S.,I was wonder if some of you know will there be some problems with customs and import of knife in U.S.?
Any help is much needed.
Thanks

I have received knives from outside the country before, no problem.

I think your knife will come through the US just fine.

Should not be any problems as long as you filled out the import/export paperwork properly.

Petar - Den' dobre! I've shipped in an out of US many times. Never a problem. THE ONLY PROBLEM: Automatic knifes, ballistic knives and few others, but all basic folders and fixed blades, samurai katanas and swords never a problem.

Right now deliveries from Eastern Europe could take up 4-6 weeks in some cases as I found out calling USPS. I am also waiting for a knife from Slovakia and it's been 3 weeks. I'll start worrying after May 31st.

Not a problem at all!

As long it doesn’t cross the Canadian border, i think you’ll be fine. I can’t say how US customs works but our CBSA is extremely overzealous regarding any kind of folding knives. They’re like pirates that like to steal our knives.

No paperwork with declared value?
Good luck.
I'm surprised your postal accepted an out of country package without at least some paperwork, and a declaration of value.
US postal won't take a package if gong out of the USA, without paperwork, in my experience.

I hope it makes it through. Since there is only one and not 15 or more it might.
It will probably be delayed at customs since they will have to inspect it to make sure it isn't drugs, Ivory, or something else on the CITIES list, live bugs, live tropical fish, food or chemicals that cannot be imported.

I used to drive truck, and had a few customs loads. Bootleg copies of CD's/DVD's, headphones, "designer" clothing, purses, shoes, sunglasses, and "Swiss" watches, among other things, that I've hauled to their destruction facilities. I've even seen a truckload of portable 8KW generators in the factory boxes at one facility. (they may have been fakes of that brand, or perhaps the paperwork was incomplete, either way, customs seized them.)

There won't be any issues whatsoever, although asking about it after the fact is rather pointless
