I short circuited my EDC heattreat busted?

Hey folks!

Ive been checking around the internet for facts regarding my latest accident.
I accidentaly short circuited my SMF while working on a battery on a boat, i had a complete brain fart working on the clamps and accidentally bridged the poles.
I havent noticed a difference regarding my knives edge retention but i havent found any sources telling me one way or another.

Do you all think ive busted my heattreat?

Electricity is not heat. Temperature is what affects heat treatment.

Also, the titanium scale is not a good conductor, and it appears that is where the contact was made - not on the blade?

Except for the scar, your knife is fine.

It actually went from the tip of the handle to the tip of the blade but i had it cerakoted after so its not visible.
I was mostly curious, i think the 'scar' looks pretty cool personally hehe

Oh with enough electricity you can warm someone up pretty good.

Maybe Dcdavis can help. I think he had a blade hit a hot wire one time.

It actually went from the tip of the handle to the tip of the blade but i had it cerakoted after so its not visible.

Melting point of Titanium is 1668°C, so at least the handle got that hot in one tiny spot. Hard to tell about the blade without looking at the point of "impact". If it got hot enough, it should be very local, a tiny point only, as the current distributes immediately inside the blade.

I did something similar a few years ago. I cut into a hot electric wire with my Kershaw. I filed out the divot in the tip and it held an edge as good as ever.

They are disappointing. In fact, I gave mine back. Do you know how tedious it becomes to have to keep beautiful women beat off all of the time? All of whom want to ravage you? I couldn't take it any more.
