yes i did shoot it:D i wanted to be in on the fun and be cool  but i shot it with a 22 marlin model 60 using cci subsonic hp at 1050 fps 40 grain:rolleyes: and it did damage the knife sort of it chipped the coating:D i can not use anything bigger the cali commies will come in and the hippies and liberals are watching:eek::grumpy::mad::thumbdn: i live on 10 acres but it is still not allowed

all this tells us that maybe jerry should make a knife that can take a shot with a 50 cal or a 408 chey tac :D
come on jerry do it i will buy one and it is just cool to say it is bullet proof like a turbo cummins diesel

i have a knife that probably live through a 50 shot but it is not a busse it is a horton kraken 550 a2

and haters just go into a hole

You're shooting a $200+ knife and you can't afford a camera?

Please look up irony. :p :D

Seriously, I wouldn't expect a .22 to do too much, but really, I don't see the point unless you plan to fend off gunfire with your knife.

Heading back to my hole now.

I wouldn't count on it. . . no matter what the thickness, I don't believe that there is any through hardened blade above 58Rc that will survive a side shot from a .50 BMG unless you're way out there and the bullet has time to slow down quite a bit!

A2 is a great steel, (I used it for nearly 20 years) but its toughness (lateral strength, and impact resistance) pales in comparison to INFI.

yes, 200 for that knife, and about 6000 for the other ones AND I still have a kz II le to buy... Camera's fall after that, between busse's and my truck only getting 16 miles to the gallon I am broke. THANKS JERRY... Good job making a great knife that I can't resist.

WOOHOO, I'm now important, JERRY POSTED ON MY THREAD!!!!!! :)

Common, it's worth a try... 1/2in thick and 2in wide?!?!?!

Knife collecting and photography go hand in hand. You'll have to break down eventually! :P

How about this "shoot my knife" nonsense stops before someone gets a chunk of bullet or knife blade in the brain? I suppose when and if it happens it will be a Darwin Award moment, but I still dont want to hear about it happening.

Nuke41 makes a really good point. . . .

I really can't encourage others to shoot their knives. The danger factor is astronomical and there really is no payoff other than a broken blade.

So let's put an end to this nonsense and just drink!!!

I don't want to hear about it either.

Frankly, I don't know what all the hubbub is, Bossman... I had to get in on the fun, myself, so i shot NMFBMLE #27 10 times in a row with no damage to the blade whatsoever!!!!!

...Should I try using thicker rubber bands??? ;) :D:D:D
