Takes about 25% out of the handle mass. Still keep a regular 52100 in the backpack always, but I really think this makes it more pocketable. Aramis is the best scale maker I know going right now. Now I'm checking how many knives I had I can get his scales on I'm loving it.

This was meant to go on a satin BHQ M4 millie, but I accidentally ordered a set for the pre CQI version. Aramis offered to return them and send me a new set, but I sharpen for a hobby and I loved the way they looked. So I had to hunt one down. Harder than you'd think unless you want to pay $200 on eBay for XHP. I found a real beater on reddit for $70. Rusty blade, rusty liners. Flitz'd the hell out of it and looks brand new.

There are a lot of aftermarket scale makers out there that make great scales nowadays. Boomer52, esee6&3, Allen Putman, RippsGarageTech, Aramis, Death of All Things, just to name a few that I've got to experience for myself.

I really like that Aramis reshapes the entire handle on many of his. Almost makes it a new knife.
