Long story short, i was never big on folders. Couldnt find one that really sang to me. I tried the PM2 and the manix, but they didnt call to me. Tried ZT, benchmade, and all sorts of slip joints, but nothing ever felt right. Then i got a military. A user s30v digi camo to try, even though i assumed it would be too big. I fell in love right away. I love it. So much that i went and got myself a CF m390 which is just amazing. I plan on using the digi for work edc and the m390 for edc otherwise. Now i find myself looking at all different variants and sprints. This is going to get expensive. But damn if it aint love. Finally

They are easy to get addicted to. My first was the xhp sprint now I have 8! It's a great edc knife.

What other colors are there? I've seen ti, fluted ti (which ill need to remortgage the farm for), CF, orange, brown, black, digital camo. Is there grey and blue?

The only other color used so far was foliage green on the CPM D2 sprint run.

Nice pics. Sorry to feed your millie addiction.

one of us!!!! one of us!!!

9 spyderco millies and counting! Starting with an old 440V , 2 standards in s30v, 2 with custom slabs, 2 titanium , a BG42 and an M4. Of all te folders I've ever owned the Military is easily lightest for the amount of cutter you get. I think the spyderco military s the best bang for the buck of at folder. I'd take one over a Strider any day... Hell, I could take 3

I'm kind of partial to them myself. The green D2 sprint is my personal favorite.

The BG42 and S90V, along with the Ti/M4 are the highlight of the millies IMO. They are, and started out pretty pricey admittedly but still are extremely high performing knives comparable to some much more expensive customs.

I'd add the new M390 version to your list, Joe, and (heresy?) maybe even bump the BG-42 out of that group. The performance and build quality of the M390 knives looks like it's at the top of the class for this knife.

If the Ti/g10 CPM M4 Military wasn't my first Millie, I'd probably be expanding my collection, too.

I just don't see the need, this one is amazing. Might try and pick up a CF one at some point, though :p

Perfect handles, perfect blade shape, lock, ergonomics, etc.... Add to that the amazing M4 steel.... The perfect knife in this size range. I can't imagine anything else coming even close, even knives three times as expensive. (with the same, or lesser, materials mind you :D )

less than a minute ago, i won this at e-bay :D the titanium s30v version with a stainless steel lock nub.

Welcome to the "Dark side." Forever will it rule your destiny!:p

Now, jump up on the bandwagon with me and start bugging Sal to make a CF Millie in Bohler-Uddeholm K390 steel!:thumbup:

I love the Militarys even though I rarely carry mine lately. As big as they are, they really don't hog the pocket too bad. As far as cutting performance, they're pretty hard to beat.

It's nice that you found a knife you love and it's not hard to understand how it could be the Military.

The Military is my favorite of the Spyderco family. I am quite partial to the S30V and BG-42 steel...ok, S90V too. All are 'users' and all are cherished.

I bought this one years ago when they first came out, then forgot about it somewhere in a storage case. I just dug it out this week, not even sure i'm going to hang on to it. Anyways here it is.
