After juggling a few sales around, I was able to sell my CQC-14 Long Blade for this CQC-10. I'm sure going to miss that CQC-14 Long Blade, but I'm quite happy with what I have in its place.
The CQC-10 was my first Emerson. I got it first mainly because I like the looks of it the best. But after handling this custom 10, I have to admit that I forgot how comfortable it is to hold. Feels very much like my old 14. The handles of the 14 and 10 are quite similar. It's one reason why I sold the 14. The dimensions of the two knives are identical. I just prefer the looks of the 10. And because I got one of the rare 10s with a swedge, I'm even more stoked!

That is one sweet knife. One of these days, I'd love to get a custom Emerson.

Congrats on the beautiful blade!

Let me tell you. You're better off getting one from a member whether it be used or new. You'll save yourself a few hundred bucks.

Again very nice, but to me there was just something about that 14. I just really took to it I guess. This 10 is no slouch though that is for sure. keepem sharp

I think I might have been tempted to keep a hold on that 14 variant, that 10 you scored is a beaut though :thumbup:

I'm hearing the same thing on my other forum. She will be missed.

This is it here. On as a custom is it available. Many folks love the handle shape, but are not fond of the shorter blade length, so a handful of ones with full sized blades were made. Not really an official model.

"long as you're happy.

The photos above stir my loins!

I love them Emerson's.
Look forward to the day I might acquire a custom.

For now I'll have to settle for the production models.
I figure I can't go wrong with an Emerson.
