I just couldn't pass these up for $4 each. I really like the size and pattern of the Colonial. It is right at 3 7/8 inches long, with a good action and very strong springs. Pity that the bolsters and scales are (well one set is anyways) clipped on. This pattern with solid bolsters and some nice bone scales would be about perfect for my daily use.

The little Klein very much reminds me of my fist lockblade that I was given by my uncle when I was 10-11 ish. Very solid with a perfect lockup and a very pointy little blade. The Schrade 12 OT looks like somebody broke the tip off of and decided to make a wharncliffe out of it. Should clean up nicely.

Nice grab.

I have an old Imperial in my pocket right now that has the one piece slabs/bolsters that are clipped on.

As for the Klein, is there a model number on the back of the tang? I have one thats very similar but I can't tell if its the same model. It came in three sizes originally. A small, medium and a full size version that was roughly the same size as a Buck 110.

They're made in Japan and have a very nice fit and finish. No clue as to what steel is used. Its definately of the stainless variety similar to a 440A/AUS6/AUS8.

Enjoy the new knives,

Chris

Blues,

That 6292 is sweet! I never knew that they made a large Texas Jack. I need to track one of those down....

Danny,

I had gotten one of the small Texas Jacks a couple months back and liked it a lot so decided I wanted to pursue the 4" version. Unfortunately, the large size in CV isn't currently in the Case lineup. (Not even sure if the stainless version is but I haven't looked.)

Anyway, I decided to scout around for one and happened to find one on fleabay for a reasonable price. Last I looked there were some available here and there around the net and bay.

Let us know how you make out.
