I need a pda for work. Ok, I don't need one, but I need one. It needs to be palm, to interact with the 2 platforms that I work on-osx, and a variety of win-98 and xp. I am looking at the zire 31, which seems to get good reviews, And since I need such basic capabilities, but I do not want it to be obsolete in a month, I think it looks ok. The help I need is thus:
Is it really ok? I am not looking for the best, and I am really trying to keep my price around 150.
Where can I buy this? palm looks like it has a deal, and that's cool, nobody else sells below msrp? I mean within a few bucks, and I'm not going to risk some company that I don't really know with prices that seem too good to be true-Especially after I have been a member here for as long as I have, and have read the horror stories.

Thanks, everybody, Joe

Sorry, cougar, I just wanted help and advice.

Gentlebeings, if you have advice for Dijos, post it here. If you have a pda for sale that you think might suit his needs, send him an email.

I know everybody has a favorite online place to buy computers but I like to just go to a big chain. If there's a problem when you first get it you can just run it back instead of shipping it. Staples has the Zire 31 for $150. The cheapest online vendor I found was thenerds.net at $133.

Yep, that was my fault :footinmou

I tried to email cougar to save the other thread but it was too late...

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Now for advice, try keeping an eye on techbargains.com. You can see most of the best deals from everybody all in one place.

I think I got my 31 for $125 after rebate...
