I've been wanting some new kitchen knives for quite some time since the set my wife already had is all serrated.
So I ordered a set of Becker/ESEE kitchen knives for about $50 on Amazon,(great price!!
) and since it meant I'd be cooking more often, my wife was perfectly fine with my new purchase.
The tracking info said the expected delivery would be on Wednesday, but I figured I'd check the tracking today just in case it was early.
To my surprise the tracking info said it was delivered Saturday.
I frantically searched front, and back porches, outside the house, and in the car, trucks, and garage(yes, our mailman has left packages in all those places
)
And after ranting about the U.S.Postal Service for 15 minutes, or so, my wife suggested I check between the front door and screen door.
To my relief, and bit of embarrassment, I found the package safely wedged between the doors.(we seldom even open the front door during the colder months)

Since it was about time for lunch I figured I give them a try, and cut up some onions, and peppers for the frying pan.
The knives were scary sharp right out of the package, so I used them with extra care.
Despite my err on the side of caution, I still managed to nick my thumb.

Barely touched the edge of the blade to my skin, but it still bled for quite some time.
I knew it was bound to happen anyways.
Both my wife, and I are happy with the new purchase though, for different reasons of coarse.
I'll probably be doing all the cooking for the next week or so, but I got away with buying 4 new knives without having to hide them from the wife.
