Dave never changes. My phone rang. I answered and heard a voice say, "It is I." To which I immediately replied, "The Great Vampire Gerbil." He said, "Huh?"
Dave sounded really good. But he's not really good. He said that he is going in on Monday for a CT scan. Of course I asked, "So...they going to try to see if you have a brain?" yuk yuk yuk and all that stuff.
Dave said, "Actually, it is not a CT of the brain. It is of the abdomen. My doctor thinks that I might have a tumor and that it is the size of a football." Might explain why he keeps getting kicked in the stomach.
He has been reflecting a lot on the fire incident that landed him in the hospital for a few months. He thinks there is a possibility that he set the fire himself. But he's not sure. If he did, it would have been by smoking, most likely. The dogs stayed by him. Dave said he saw and heard coyotes growling nearby at him, maybe hoping dinner was almost ready. His dogs were crying out about them, whining perhaps? I don't know that Dave will ever remember exactly what happened that day.
Some employee at the local hospital called the Sheriff on him on 2 separate occasions. Dave went to the emergency room because of severe pains in his head that were not of the migraine variety. I guess Dave gave the employee a lesson on headaches and qualifications to be an EMT and all that stuff and probably scared the crap out of the guy. I think Dave was allowed to be treated.
Dave has been having some internet access problems, and Richard J. has been trying to help out. Dave called me about it today, so I got on the phone with the ISP and straightened some stuff out and gave them his new phone number, etc. Then I called Dave back and gave him some info so he can call and they can find his account (in my name) and hopefully help him get back online. I'm certain when he gets internet access again, we'll know it!!!
