Sitting in the forest moosehunting I wanted to show you some of my stuff.
I had that Heym 6,5X55 sinse I was 18 soon 30 years ago. Besides a anschytz 22 LR and a tikka M70 combi its the only rifle I hunted with but this one has been in the forest many 100 days.

The hunting/butcher knife is a viktorinox i shortened to fit the sheet from a fallkniven S1. Good kombo.

Kamagong sent me the scoutknife last year. I love to yse that screwdriver when shooting in the scoope on my Heym. Not because its my best screwdriver but its classy. My father made the cup some 15 years ago before he passed away.

That's a good looking scout knife. What kind is it? Has it been re-handled?

Good wood and blued steel are a great combo. Sure beats that black plastic stuff. Appears you are a lefty also thinking with the right part of the brain. That's from one lefty to another. Good looking equipment you have there.

That's a beautiful kasa there Bosse. Priceless really, given the fact that I was made by your father.

IIRC it's an Utica. I doubt that it was rehandled, why bother on a scout knife? Boys don't care about such things.

You're a leftie! 6.5 Swede has a small but loyal following in n. America although very few shooters are aware of the 100+ year old military origin. But you want to be a crack shot, or very patient, in order to cleanly/reliably knock down a moose with one. American gun writers consider these only to be deer and mountain goat guns and always recommend big stuff, like 338 Magnum, that kicks like a horse, for 500 kg moose. Like you I sit quietly in the woods with a bolt rifle.
