I think i am beginning to notice something

but i think i am seeing a pattern here, what do ya'll think?





For some reason I missed my buck 301 but i am pretty sure you all know what that one looks like.
but including the 301 these are my normal carries/MDCs (most day carries, since i rotate so much)
but some things really stand out to me. it seems that i PREFER knives in the 3 1/2" range, the 309 is the smallest at 3" and the buck is the biggest at 3 7/8" but all the rest are all about 3 1/2". I seem to prefer two blades and it seems like i prefer some carbon steel.

I dunno, its late and i am a bit bored, but i felt the urge to post some new pics and this struck me while i was arranging my knives for a group pic

Yup, 3.5" is pretty sweet for pocket carry. You end up with about a 2.5" blade, which is still very useful, but non-threatening at the same time.

I like my knives between 3 1/2 - 3 7/8 inches too. Those are all good choices you have

I've found with knives I have a sweet spot in the middle of the range too. 2 7/8" to 3 7/8" are my favorite daily sizes to carry, and most of my favorite folders are right around 3 1/2". Though I just received a Queen serpentine jack at 3 1/4" that is almost my ideal EDC for both work dress khakis and after work jeans' watch pocket carry, I love it.
Could it be the one???

Mrs. Z would be very happy if I stopped getting packages in the mail! Though at this time of year many are actually presents for her (not knives) and my sons (sometimes knives). I always point out that knives are a lot cheaper than my other obsess...err hobby, namely watches

I have the #26 stockman on the same frame, it's a superb size for innocuous carry.

My preferred daily carry rotation looks an awful lot like yours. Laid out side by side like that they're all very similar in size and shape. Case 62032 Jack, 63032 Stockman, couple of 6318 Stockmans, Buck 301 and 303, Victorinox Electrician and Cadet. A few others make it into the rotation now and then but those are the backbone. I usually don't need anything larger, but there's no particular improvement in carry ability by going smaller.
