I think I am gonna clip my 14

I have been carrying the 14 as my EDC since I got it. I actually like carrying it better than my usual folding knife, because I have a fixed blade right there with me, and it is never seen. Plus carrying it on my belt I have more pocket room. But after looking at it for awhile now, I have decided that I wanna put a clip point on it with a false edged swedge. It will be a thick swedge, so it doesn't take away much function.(batoning,finger placement) But bevels are sexy :D So I am gonna clip it, and bevel it. What do you guys think? And I wanna see some pictures of clipped 14's or 11's if anyone has modded theirs. I can't find hardly any, and the only ones I have found don't have bevels! :eek: Thanks guys, WR.
 
I think there was a couple picutes of one clipped in the destroying Beckers thread. It looked pretty sweet to me.

straight-clip it.
I'm not a fan of false swedges unless there's a balance issue. They look meaner, but I'm not meaner. That's just a personal preference. But a straight clip on the 14 looks awesome.
 
That's true...That thing looks pretty sweet. I just want it to be efficient if I need to actually stick something. and it definitely isn't right now.
 
That one was efficient at sticking stuff. I like the straight clip better. If you want Ill post some pics of a straight clip with the swedges.
 
I am contemplating that too....I remember seeing your mod, and I loved it! But I want the penetration ability, but I don't wanna take away the wide spine...Does it tear up a baton, or your hand?

Man i want a stamped 11.

But these pictures hurt to look at. I love the drop point, especially on the 11 and 14.
 
I haven't batoned with it but I'm sure it would chew one up horrible. Its really comfortable in the hand though. I started the swedge further out past where I rest my thumb so it doesn't get in the way. Makes it much better at piercing though.
 
I think I am gonna straight clip my 14, and when I get an 11 do it like you did yours if you don't mind? Maybe a little differrnt, but very close:D
