I think I bought a fake

I picked up a Large 21 and I got it in and it is not like my other Sebenzas. A few things stood out to me and would like feedback. I believe it is fake but need the experts to weigh in.
1. No date stamp on inside of slabs
2. Torx head screws
3. The thumb stud is not flush on the reverse side of the blade
4. Thinner tip on the spine.

Can everyone let me know what they think.
Thanks
Jared

Besides what you wrote the font on Idaho Made is off, and a good tell I learned from the forums here is the “M” in particular is not right. The middle portion of the “M” doesn’t reach the bottom on a real one. It’s not the worst fake I have seen but the thumb stud is quite noticeable.

I hope you get your money back, I’ve gotten a few CRK off eBay but you do need good pictures and some background on what to look for, and even that is a gamble.

Thank you. I didn’t even notice the font. I uploaded what I put on here and I have been on eBay for almost 21 years and the few returns I have done have always been smooth. I bought from a seller with perfect feedback as well. He listed at an original knife and I told eBay it was a reproduction. I’m sure he will accept the return. If not I used my AMX so they have protection as well.

Def fake. Here's a tip that would help to spot it for me. Look where the hollow grind begins while the knife is open. The grind is hollow within the slabs on a sebenza 21 while opened - on the real one that is. You can see on the pic you posted that the hollow is outside of the slab where it starts.

Glad you got your money back. That is a fake sold for about 50 dollars new. 9cr steel.

Thanks everyone. Now back to trying to find a Large 21.
Glad you got your money back. Possibly the seller didn’t even know. Hopefully it can go out of circulation and not back on eBay…..

Speaking of, I do see a large 21 Insingo on there now. Possibly we can let the panel here decide for sure but looks real to me. It’s best offer so who knows you might get a deal. If I didn’t have a large 21 I would be tempted to try for it.
