Well, as you have seen, I've been gathering mammoth as fast, and as much as I can afford. Today I received 2 mammoth mnandi one in ivory, and the other bark. Both are georgous, buttttt my bark has a spot in the ivory that looks like a blemish. It sits right on the edge of the scale so it looks as if the corner is damaged, but it's smooth, and finished. I think it detracts from a resale stand point, but as a plus I won't feel bad about putting a bad Azz knife to use everyday.

As much as I was slightly, ever so slightly disappointed. This is a blessing for me. It's like putting the first dent in your new car. Sad for a second. Then fudge it, let the dents begin. :) I'm a looking forward to having a nice mold on the leather pouch real soon.

Very nice knife.
It's a natural material and that it show's. Congrats.
The damascus pattern also looks special.
You sure going to enjoy this beauty.

I haver never seen ladder Damascus "tilted" like that. Very unique! Gorgeous knife, and that little white spot.......call it a beauty mark.

Nice knife but...
Was almost certain that I only need a small 21 micarta, but those mnandis look really nice!........ Damn you

Thanks guys,

Im off to the farmers market today, and it will be joining me for todays event. Might have to slice a nice piece of fruit today. Its Friday, so may your work week finish fast, and your weekend last long.

Very nice piece. I have yet to own a Mnandi but I see one in my future. At least now you can carry the knife and enjoy it without fear. I'm curious though, did this come from a dealer or private sale. Either way I think something like this should have been disclosed. It's pretty obvious and hard to miss.

It came from a dealer. It's actually an inclusion in the mammoth itself. It appears as if a corner was damaged, but that's only because of its location. I think had it been in the center of the scale it wouldn't give the same appearance. It's smooth to the touch, and totally finished. This is why I made it my edc, just because the perception it gives, even though it is truly 100 percent. And the damascus does have a wonderful tilt to it rather than the normal straight up and down pattern.

Oh okay, well it sounds like your happy with it. How could you not be though??? It's a beautiful knife! Congrats and enjoy it in good health.

I am not sure, but the Mammoth may darken with use and that spot will become less apparent. With that strange tilted ladder pattern that knife might be the score of the year. I like it.

Congrats! Very beautiful knife!
Really wanna get a mammoth Mnandi but just can find it nowhere... Waiting for luck
